As an independent voice for Tasmania, my platform is shaped by lived experience, by listening to communities, and by a deep commitment to equity, integrity, and respect. I'm experienced in governance, work hard as a community advocate, and have proven my skills in negotiation. This means I can start working effectively for our communities from day one. Here’s where I stand on key issues:

We need real housing solutions within our existing communities - not more isolated developments on the urban fringe. Housing should strengthen connection, not sever it. Homes must be built in ways that support access to work, schools, services, and community life.

Tasmanians in rural and regional areas deserve access to quality, timely healthcare. I support mobile clinics that provide a range of services regularly, and I believe we must improve health literacy to help prevent illness before it takes root.

Too many of our rural schools are struggling to attract and retain staff. This puts enormous pressure on teachers and limits student learning. We must support teachers, address school-based and public anti-social behaviour, and create safer, more respectful learning environments.

Forestry: I support native eucalypt plantations and our native timber industry. I do not support the harvesting and destruction of Tasmania’s old growth and original forests.

Salmon: the evidence is clear. Current practices are damaging. We need to move this industry further offshore or onto land, improve water quality, and find better uses for bio-waste. Our environment and economy must coexist - and they can.

Cats, Deer, Rabbits: these need sorting. Statewide management of these damaging pests is clearly the remit of the state government.

I support recreational shooting and hunting, and responsible firearms ownership - particularly for the management of invasive and overpopulated species. These practices, when well-regulated and safety-focused, are part of Tasmania’s rural culture and ecological management.

Planning in Tasmania is outdated, inconsistent, and often sidelines community consultation. That needs to change. Communities deserve a genuine voice in decisions that affect their lives, landscapes, and local services.

Public transport must be safe, reliable, and accessible. That means investing in driver safety, better infrastructure, and reliable transport for young people - especially in places like Gagebrook - so they can get to school and thrive.

We must stop expecting all Tasmanians to travel to city centres to access essential services. Satellite services, stronger transport links, and a fairer distribution of tourism income will help strengthen our remote communities and support true statewide equity.

Tasmania has enormous potential in the green economy. Leaders like Bob Clifford have shown how we can be global innovators - building new industries while employing and upskilling locals. Let’s invest in the future, instead of just patching up the past.

Tasmania is home to a strong and proud Aboriginal community. Truth-telling and cultural connection must be embedded in policy and community life. We must listen, acknowledge, and ensure Aboriginal voices are heard in shaping our shared future.

I support the introduction of a pokies card system, allowing individuals to set personal limits and better control their gambling. This is a practical, compassionate step to help reduce harm and ensure Tasmanians aren’t pushed beyond their means.

I support the vision of a stadium for a Tasmanian AFL team - but not at Macquarie Point, and not at the current cost. I do not have confidence that the existing plans are economically responsible or in the best interests of our state. We must explore other locations and models that deliver value without compromising Tasmania’s financial future.
